A Brief IntroductVue To The Dodge Caliber

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Beginning next year, 2007, Daimler Chrysler would be sending off on the streets and roads the new Dodge Caliber. This vehicle is a compact car and it might be coming with a hot hatch for that, it might hold five doors. This automobile has been built on the Mitsubishi/Daimler Chrysler GS platform, and for this very reason, it’s been announced this automobile is pretty much related to the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Patriot. When it starts to hit the streets, the Dodge Neon would be principally competing against the Chevrolet HHR, the Ford Focus, the Toyota Matrix, the Mazda Mazda3, and the Pontiac Vibe.

The Dodge Caliber would ultimately be replacing the Dodge Neon come the time it hits the streets. Nearly, the dimensions of this vehicle would be like the Dodge Neon’s. The 2005 Geneva Motor Show became the avenue for Dodge to introduce this compact automobile to the vehicle to the automobile market. The Dodge Caliber holds a crosshair grille as well as huge wheel arches that are very much the common features of Daimler Chrysler cars. If you have an interest in purchasing one, then you should be ready to pay up some $13,985 for this.

George Murphy, the firm’s senior vice president for global promoting, states, “Dodge Caliber isn’t your characteristic small car. The all new Dodge Caliber redefines the compact vehicle by mixing crossover styling with space efficient packaging, interior flexibility, innovative features, and affordable performance. Caliber allows owners around the globe to be active, do more and stand out – to live life to the fullest, and do so at a very competitive price.”

Matt Liddane, the chief engineer for the Dodge Caliber, adds, “Dodge Caliber’s roomy interior is also terribly flexible. We mixed styled and comfort with innovative features and clever packaging to create a vehicle that gives new meaning to functionality in the compact car market.”.

Which Minivan Is Can Meet Your Family’s Expectations?

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Many people with families choose to buy minivans because they are easy to drive, can seat a lot of people (especially children) and they are affordable. With more and more minivans offering models or packages including entertainment systems and leather interior, driving a minivan is no longer a sacrifice rather a pleasure. There are many GM repair manuals available to you that may be affordable and convenient to buy, but you should think about the advantages in investing in a new minivan. You can get certain features that will keep you comfortable and happy and will keep the kids occupied and quiet in the back seat. Three options available are the Dodge Caravan, the Chevrolet Uplander, and the Buick Terraza.

The Dodge Caravan Chiltons Shop Manual has always been the pioneer when it comes to minivans. This minivan offers a lot of extra space and it´s very easy to drive making it a comfortable experience for everyone including you, the driver! This minivan can sit up to seven people comfortably. Although the Caravan used to be the best available minivan, recently it has fallen short compared to some of it´s competitors. Compared to other minivans on the market today, the brakes are weak, and the ride is not as comfortable as it used to be. The performance and fuel economy are both lacking compared to it´s competitors. The interior finish is made from low quality products and it is a bit lacking in safety features. This minivan isn´t as reliable as a lot of it´s competitors and if you´re looking for something that is going to offer you a great ride, save you money on gas, and keep you safe, this is not the vehicle for you.

The Chevrolet Uplander has a sportier look compared to the look of the original minivan. Despite it´s more unique design, this minivan is very lacking compared to some of it´s competitors, especially those manufactured by Korean and Japanese companies. Because of it´s low sales, the Chevrolet Uplander was only manufactured for three years. The Chevrolet Uplander fell short of it´s competitors and a Chevrolet Uplander Service Manual is a necesity. The interior was made out of decent materials, although it was not high quality. One very good quality of this minivan is that it offers a hard drive built into the vehicle so you don´t have to worry about changing CDs and DVDs for the rear entertainment system. Although this minivan did have a few good features, including the entertainment system and it´s unique exterior design, it´s not a recommended purchase and it´s better if you just skip this minivan completely.

The Chiltons Buick Terraza Manual was Buick´s first minivan repair manual. The vehicle known to be a luxury minivan which offers a great exterior design which is very different from the classic minivan exterior. This minivan offers different models which come with different levels of luxury, depending on how much you want to spend. In the more expensive models you can get wood trim and leather seating which makes you feel like you´re driving something more luxurious than practical. As with the Chevrolet Uplander, the Buick Terraza is lacking in safety features and offers a less than desirable driving experience. The acceleration in this vehicle is one of it´s good qualities. Although this minivan does have a few strong points in it´s driving experience, the bad qualities far outweigh the good ones. This minivan has a longer than average braking distance and it offers a loud ride so you won´t be as comfortable as you should be while driving. All in all, this is not a recommended purchase.

Remember when buying any used vehicle to always purchase a quality vehicle repair manual to go with it.

In drive checks and re-evaluations

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

It was not till the later part of the 1980s that the Dodge Dakota competed seriously in the compact pick-up trade.  Instead of making a different little pick-up wagon to dig for trades alongside robust imports, the establishment made the Dodge Dakota, which is the very first medium-sized pick-up wagon.  Dimension has always been the Dodge Dakota’s major benefit over other autos, since it fits tidily flanked by wrecking big wagons and confined compacts.  At the time Dodge launched the Dakota Quad taxi in the year two thousand, it became the foremost comparatively tiny crew cab to put forward justly comfortable seating good for 4 grown-ups.

aside from its admired dimensions, the Dodge Dakota has the disposition to travel easily and manage well on the roads.  The Dodge Dakota was the first tinier pick-up truck to obtain a V8, too.  On the other hand, the top import brand names are at present obtaining equal or even more show out of a more fuel-proficient V6, which makes the fresh Dodge Dakota generation at an economical drawback.  Apart from this weakness , however , the Dakota has substantial appeal for clients searching for a roomy and adaptable – lorry with controllable size.

until now, the Dodge Dakota is still one of the top runners for everyday travelling function among the present compact and mid-sized pick-up lorries.  The base V6 is going to be sufficient if fuel saving and price are your major speculations, though it doesn’t go to dazzle anybody with its hauling capabilities.  The V8 meanwhile, presents noticeably greater torque and is therefore superiorly OK for hauling.

In drive checks and re-evaluations, it is discovered that Dodge Dakota swanks comfy seating, plentiful cargo space and easy controls.  Whenever supplied with the V8 engine, its power results being rich.  Some flaws to this pick-up van are its unacceptable interior supplies and rough travel quality.

New Dodge Hemi is Putting Hemi To The Test.

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

How unbelievable is it when you think about going from the new Dodge Ram in the late 80s to the new SRT10 high performance Used Dodge pickups maintain their worth as they age.

A Dodge truck with a 500+hp. Viper Motor or a Ram 3500 with an unmatched Cummings diesel power plant in this day and age. Taking time to fix your used Dodge cars or used Dodge trucks got put on the back step with a new and improved group of Dodge autos like the new Dodge 300M classor new Dodge Charger and of coursethe new Dodge Challenger with an all new unmatched Dodge Hemi. New fashions change, but for the time being, throw back look is all the hipe in Detroit. The expanded 2009 Dodge Challenger variety rivals with the corresponding retro Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro for the top dog award.

The latest generation of the Ford Mustang kicked off the yesteryear styling fashion among the Big Three,
but the 2009 Dodge Challenger cranks it up to 11. The new Challenger Dodge is a EYE-OPENER that Experts say is available in three various trim levels: a most impressive, SRT8 and not so hard on your wallet R/T and SE models. Externally, all three share what the fanatics are calling Hot Wheels styling. The new look of the Dodge Challenger varies somewhat across the lineup, but a lot less than some other vehicles. Professionals, for instance, are thrilled to witness the Challenger SE isn’t entirely stripped of Challenger R/T and SRT8 exterior jewelry and doesn’t scream rent me. As for the other options, the SE is closest to the early 70s that was the clear motivation for this new generation of Dodge Challengers, while the R/T adds better designed front air dam with functional brake ducts. A moderate amount of self-creation is accessible with the Dodge Challenger’s external features Chrysler can accommodate you with everything from a Ram air hood to a handling package which drops the car an astonishing 1.625 inches

The very becoming look at the inside styling of the Dodge Challenger, while hardly as exciting as the body panels, gets a pat on the back in write ups that readers love.

Saving Money With The Best Minivans

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Almost every family in America needs transportation of some sort, and if you have a partner, three kids, and a beagle, you are probably shopping for a minivan. Thanks to its size and versatility, the minivan is regarded as the perfect family vehicle – great for transporting light cargo, picking up dirty kids from dance practice, or even the occasional cross-country road trip. However, with the current economy, lots of families are holding off on getting the minivan they truly need, even though it would benefit them greatly. Given this, the question becomes, how do you get a quality minivan at a rock-bottom price? By getting a used minivan.

One of the best things about purchasing used is because they are known to come with several after market parts and accessories that don’t come with buying a new minivan off the showroom floor. An increasing number of minivan owners install parts like DVD players, GPS units, and even mini refrigerators, which come in handy on road trips with the wife and kids. These enhancements are as a rule better than those offered by the original minivan maker, and depending on the time they were installed, also come with a factory warranty.

Another reason to buy used is that it is better for the environment. Statistics show that millions of vehicles are already on the road, and purchasing new only adds to the environmental impact. By purchasing a used minivan, you are not increasing the number of vehicles winding up in landfills, and this is something you can feel good about.

Finally, biggest reason a car buyer would buy a used minivan over a new one is the huge amount of dough you can save when buying used. The value of a new vehicle can decrease up to 25% the moment [it leaves the dealership~you drive it off the lot], which makes buying new a bad investment. Just picture pouring twenty thousand dollars into a stock, and watching it plummet to fifteen thousand moments later. This is why an increasing number of people are leaning towards used minivans.

So where can you find used minivans? Our favorite resource is Used Minivans (http://usedminivans.org) – a detailed and free website focused on showing people the ins and outs of buying used minivans on the cheap. You’ll have access to a complete archive of useful tips and tricks on how to locate, judge, and ultimately buy your used vehicle. This site comes completely free of charge, but a quick visit could end up saving you hundreds or even thousands of dollars on your next vehicle purchase.

What’s New About The Dodge Magnum RT

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

The new Magnum is a great looking car that may get your neighbors speaking as you rumble around the block. The unique styling of the Magnum will also attract gawkers in the shape of 18-22 year old blokes pointing for their chums to “check that out”. And some folks will approach you as you are filling up the gas tank to ask, “Does it actually have a Hemi?”, with only a vague notion that it somehow makes the auto better.

The Magnum is offered with many different engine sizes (either a 6-cylinder or 8-cylinder ) with your choice of horsepower Output of 190, 250, 340 and 425. The cost of the automobile also corresponds with the engine size beginning at $30,345 to the pricey STR-8 model for $37,320. A huge part of the mystique around this car is the Hemi engine. The Hemi is short for hemispherical combustion chamber, which creates more efficient fuel burning and allows bigger valves for better airflow. Fundamentally , it produces more power than an engine with its displacement would routinely produce. (There are also drawbacks to the Hemi, and is why it isn’t the sole engine that Chrysler produces).

The interior of the automobile looks much more expensive than you would be expecting for the price of the Magnum. Since Mercedes bought Chrysler, the Dodge automobiles I’ve sampled have had a sharp improvement in interior quality. While on the road, the auto is very solid and the seats are comfy even on long highway runs.

As much as I like the looks, after driving it some time I really have to ask the design idea the Magnum offers. It’s a station wagon built to move plenty of folks and a lot of stuff. But mating this with a robust engine with the taught racing-like suspension is uncomfortable for both. It is like having a Corvette tow a little trailer, and you are in the trailer and the Corvette driver is fifteen years-old, pushing the car to its limits. (Only an actual Corvette has a much more cosy suspension than the Magnum). Even driving on smooth roads, the steering is very darty and hard to control. And with a huge vehicle, all that weaving and road feedback is exaggerated for the passengers and everything you have stored in the back.

I like having a navigation system, but working out how to use it with the steering wheel controls made me often refer to the user’s manual. In spite of the high h.p. And low-end torque I played with when beginning from a full stop, the RT model I drove averaged 20 Miles per gallon on the higway.

What I presume to be the target market for this automobile, those 18-22 year old men that I discussed, will often love this automobile. And as much as I love driving sports cars, the darty steering and pointy suspension make it too uncomfortable without any impressive payoff. The 0-60 sprint is fun for a little while, but I’d pass on buying a Magnum as a daily driving vehicle.

Crown Victoria For Everyone

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

One of the most well known names in autodom is poised to get its first major overhaul in nearly thirty years. Ford’s Crown Victoria, introduced in 1979, has had only minor changes since its introduction, but a new plan by Ford to overhaul the crown jewel of its fleet is allegedly in the offing. Thanks to state help – Australian to be specific – the new Crown Victoria will be a clean break from the current model and will help to spawn extra models for siblings Mercury and Lincoln. Yes, you may not have considered a Crown Victoria up to this point, but the approaching new “Crown Vic” may just change your mind about that.

You have to go back all the way to the late 1970s to when “downsizing” was a term used by the vehicle industry to describe a shell game where huge vehicles were dropped down a notch in size to sit on a platform smaller than the prior model. Indeed, across the 1970s Ford’s fullsize offerings the LTD/Galaxie 500 were enormous beasts of burden. When the point the then new Galaxie 500 Crown Victoria was released at the end of the decade, Ford was playing catch up to General Motors who had earlier mastered the whole downsizing strategy.

Initially, the Crown Victoria had a broad appeal for drivers wanting a big car with all of the trappings. As time went buy the vehicle grew less and less fascinating as buyer tastes changed, but the Crown Victoria’s style failed to. As a pursuit, regime, or fleet auto the Crown Victoria has done very well, but Ford has only made modest enhancements to the vehicle over time. Indeed, America’s #2 automaker has invested heavily in trucks, SUVS SUVS and select autos, but the Crown Victoria quickly started to show its age. Today’s model is awfully outmoded and it hasn’t had a comprehensive refreshing in more than ten years, so an overhaul is warranted.

Ford’s impetus for change is coming from an improbable source : a foreign govt. According to reports sources, Ford’s Australian operation has received a $1.4 bln grant from Australia to build a production and research facility which may be used to design and build several new models. One of the Australian autos slated to gain from this move will be the Ford Falcon, a full sized vehicle which will become the basis of the all-new Crown Victoria.

While some have theorized that the new Crown Victoria will be built in Australia and imported to the U.S., this is doubtful to happen. Instead, Ford will expand the Falcon’s production to at least one U.S. Plant, make some technical refinements, and sell the car as a Crown Victoria. It’s going to be centered to police departments and fleet buyers essentially with some residual sales for personal buyers. In addition, the Crown Victoria will spawn a new Mercury Gran Marquis while a marginally stretched and much more elegant version of the auto will become the replacement for the current Lincoln City Car.

Yes, the Crown Victoria is well past its useful age. Thanks to some help from down under, the 2010 model should be a refreshing change. At least Ford hopes you will think so.

The Dodge Charger Coupe

Monday, July 13th, 2009

DaimlerChrysler’s Dodge division has certainly been making a name for itself over the last 10 years. No longer in the shade of Chrysler or a copy of Plymouth, Dodge has its own automobiles stamped with its own unique personality. The Charger is Dodge’s latest hot model; what can Dodge do for an encore? Read on for all the exciting details!

Caliber – The compact Neon is dead and a replacement car is waiting in the wings by the name of Caliber. Sporting Dodge’s signature crosshair grille, the Caliber looks like a Chrysler Pacifica but it is in the Chrysler PT Cruiser’s size range. This 5 door wagon-like automobile features jacked up wheel arches and a sloped roofline that tapers off to a rear hatch spoiler. On demand all wheel drive is predicted to be one of the car’s options. Built on a Mitsubishi Lancer platform, the Caliber has been intended to go toe-to-toe with the VW Golf and Mazda three. The Caliber is anticipated to debut in early 2006 as a 2007 model.

Nitro – Dodge gets a small SUV, the Nitro which is a rebadged and slightly reworked Jeep Freedom . As is customary with all fresh Dodges, the Nitro sports the Dodge crosshair grille and unique wheel arches. Everything else about the Nitro is predicted to be nearly the same as the Freedom including engine and transmission choices. The Nitro is predicted to debut late in 2006.

Charger Coupe – Okay, I am dreaming. So are a lot of people who are just itching for Dodge to release a 2 door version of the grand Charger. The word about Charger is this : 1/2 the people like the sedan and the other half are disappointed it wasn’t developed as a coupe. No confirmation has been made, but a coupe may show up in late 2007 joining with [not replacing] this sedan.

Love Those Vans – Chrysler is nearing the end of the life cycle for the current crop of minivans which still outsells any competitor on the market. Stow ‘N Go has been such a popular hit that any revamp will be built around this nifty feature. Expect the newest rendition of the Caravan and the Chrysler Town and Country to turn up some time in 2008.

So, there you have it. The division that at one previous point gave us the Aries K and Omni now features the Viper, Ram, Dakota, Durango, and a host of other exciting automobiles. Dodge fans are pinching themselves praying that it is not all a dream. Well, it is not and the imminent models promise to defend Dodge’s new found place in The Chrysler Group.

Dodge Viper Endangering the Competition

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

Entering the car world in 1992, the Dodge Snake has had undergone many changes as well as many obstacles. This year, 2006, the Dodge Viper is already on its 3rd generation of cars. this occassion, the auto is introduced as an all-new coupe.

Dan Knott, the director of Street and Racing Technology (SRT) for the Chrysler Group states, “Demand for a Dodge Rattlesnake Coupe started the day we introduced the Dodge Viper SRT10 Convertible for 2003. The all-new 2006 Dodge Viper SRT10 coupe is a natural evolution of the heritage of the Dodge Viper, and gives enthusiasts exactly that they’re looking for in the ultimate American sports car.” He also adds, “Dodge Viper SRT10 purchasers need to go past the level of the regular fan, to the level of outrageous performance. Our all-new 2006 Dodge Snake SRT10 coupe gives our shoppers that performance in a surprising new package.”

The most blatant change for this new automobile is that it now holds the aerodynamic “double bubble” roof. This roof holds a unique shape that gives a smooth airflow over the vehicle as well as aids in accommodating an enormous quantity of space within. Other new things for this new 2006 Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe include the door glass, the rear quarter panels, the integrated rear spoiler, and the wraparound tail lights. It is pretty much like the first Dodge Snake GTS coupe’s look but this new one owns up to a more recent flair. Also added in are a group of unique alloy wheels which measures 18 inches for the front end and some nineteen inches on the back.

The 2006 Dodge Snake SRT10 coupe holds an 8.3 litre all-aluminum motor that works with ten cylinders. This engine has the power to supply some five hundred h.p. And around 525 pound feet of torque. To help it all up is a six speed manual transmission.

Backing up Knott’s statement per this new vehicle, Trevor Creed, Chrysler Group’s senior vice chairman for design exclaims, “It was important for us to sustain the emotion in the design. We wanted the 2006 Dodge Snake SRT10 coupe design to include a nod to the first Snake GTS coupe, but in a latest way. The Dodge Snake SRT10 coupe owner is often a racer, and the automobile has to yell that, even when it’s idling at the stoplight. The bottom line is that the new Dodge Viper SRT10 coupe’s design asserts a lot about its unique character, and the auto’s performance is the payoff.”

To continue Dodge’s convention of offering unique and excellent in performance automobiles that is outstanding in its price and class, vehicle parts corporations like Vehicle Parts Rush offers top of the line Dodge parts. The shopper has a choice from a massive array of vehicle parts and accessories. It offers new and used Dodge body parts, body kits, performance parts, and Dodge accessories among many others.
